The following message was written by our President, Michael Hollar: "In the past three months, the number of requests from members and other interested MV professionals around the country has increased concerning the potential presence of OSDA in local areas outside Florida. While other user-group organizations have not faired so well, OSDA has survived and even flourished. The OSDA Board has been reviewing these requests, trying to find a way to share our good fortune, and yet avoid spreading ourselves too thin. While we continue to plan and develop these possibilities, there is help we can offer right now, even as a more comprehensive plan is designed. 1. We are offering OSDA's good offices as a clearing house for local user and vendor-related groups to contact and communicate with each other. OSDA's office is available by email, by telephone, by fax, and by letter. We can provide a central point for local groups of members and interested parties. 2. We will make available, as space allows, the OSDA Newsletter for contacts, areas of interest, and local news. What a great way to let others know that a local group may be forming and how to make contact. 3. We can make space available on our website if there is sufficient interest. Our website is available world wide and may be of interest and use to groups overseas as well as throughout the US. We continue to have great interest in supporting local multivalue professionals in their search for professional training and growth. Some have suggested regional conferences. While this is premature given the current level of interest, we will not rule out its possibility in the future. It's time for us to come together, from around the world, to explore our common interests and needs. OSDA stands ready to do its part. In fact, we are honored to be a part of this valuable undertaking."
