Informix for linux: missing sqlexec

I'm setting up informix on a linux box, and I'm getting the following
error when running the dbaccessdemo command:
25584: Network driver cannot access the server program
/opt/informix/lib/sqlexec.No such file or directory
Does anyone know what package provides this program? I know this is
somewhat crucial to starting/running a database. Perhaps I hava a
botched install? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

What software have you installed on the Linux box? The program sqlexec
comes with Informix SE (Standard Engine).
You would encounter this error if you set INFORMIXSERVER=demo_se and the
$INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts file contained:
demo_se seipcpip localhost sqlexec
The 'localhost' might be your actual machine name. If you just
installed one of the OnLine products (IDS/LE or IDS.2000 or
Foundation.2000), then you would need to use another entry in the
sqlhosts file -- after you've configured your OnLine server. That is a
non-trivial operation. You should choose a name for your server (eg
anubis_53) and set INFORMIXSERVER=anubis_53. You need to take a copy of
onconfig.std from $INFORMIXDIR/etc and call it onconfig.anubis_53. You
need to set ONCONFIG=onconfig.anubis_53. You need to edit the onconfig
file and set the various path names etc correctly for your machine.
Note that the files used for the root dbspace (rootdbs) must be owned by
informix and belong to group informix and have 660 permissions, and
should be protected from deletion by yobbos who aren't logged in as root
or informix (the directory containing these files should be have
user/group informix and 775 or 755 permissions). The log file and
console file should be writable by user informix. You need to edit the
sqlhosts file and add entries such as:
anubis_53 olsoctcp anubis.sco.com anubis_53
anubis_53_shm olipcshm anubis.sco.com pikachu
You will then use ON-Monitor (onmonitor) to verify that the
configuration is correct; you'll use the Parameters/Initialize menu to
do this, and you'll set the
server name to anubis_53 and the server alias to anubis_53_shm (you can
add more aliases if you want to), and you'll configure the connectivity
options (NETTYPE)
when given the chance. Then, with just a small modicum of luck, you'll
be able to bring your system up.
You must have INFORMIXSERVER set at all times when you access Informix.
You normally need INFORMIXDIR set too (unless /usr/informix, the
default, works). You only need ONCONFIG set when you're messing around
with the configuration (eg running oninit or onmonitor).
