Re: Migration of Data

catalin,
why require logging? here is what we do on a regular basis:
1. update statistics for all databases in the source instance (SI for short)
2. generate the schema from SI (i wrote a customer schema program that has
an option to insert 'INSERT INTO table SELECT * FROM DB@HOST:table' right
after creating the table and just before creating the indexes).
3. run the script generated in step #2 on the target instance (TI for short).
4. update statistics for all databases in TI
5. run select tabname, nrows from systables for all databases in both instances
and compare the output. fix any tables that did not get completely copied.
the above doesnt require transactions and creates the indexes on the tables
after the load has occurred (real time saver). should work for all versions
of online...

} Why don't you keep it simple by using the power of Informix Star
