4GL & IDS installed in different directories
I have installed IDS 12.10.FC4 and CSDK 4.10.FC4W1 in $INFORMIXDIR=/home/informix. Informix 4gl 7.51.FC1 in $INFORMIXDIR=/home/informix/TOOLS in a RET HAT Linux machine. When I want to execute engines programs I have to set INFORMXDIR to /home/informix, And when I want to execute tools programs I have to set INFORMIXDIR to /home/informix/TOOLS. Is there any possible way, apart from installing them in the same directory, to have a mixed environment in which I could execute both engine and tools programs ? Best Regards,

Put both directories in your PATH with the tools first.
