KAIO Kernel Parameters

Hi, For those of you out there that are using KAIO on HP 10.20 or 11, what do you have the AIO kernel parameters set to such as aio_max_ops, aio_async_ports, aio_physmem_pct and the ifmx_hpkaio_num_req environment parameter? Are you taking the defaults? Is there any way to monitor any of these parameters to see how much of their current setting is being used? I don't want to wait for a problem to occur, but would like to be proactive in being able to adjust these parameters before some resource is exhausted. TIA for any input. -- Thanks, Melvin Mariney Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
Hi, I'm using IDS 7.24UC4X3 under HP-UX 10.20 for 3 years. Kernel parameters for KAIO are set to defaults. Of course, kernel/OS patches for KAIO should be installed. No problem so far, I've never seen "KAIO - Out of OS resources" errors or something like that. We are using Glance+ for monitoring, but this tool is quite expensive, you may ask your salesman for trial codeword (2 months). Very useful for initial OS/Informix/apps tuning, but I do not exactly know if KAIO resources monitoring is available. Hope this helps, Sergey melvin <mmariney@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:8o3vs3$ekg$1@nnrp1.deja.com... > Hi, > > For those of you out there that are using KAIO on HP 10.20 or 11, what > do you have the AIO kernel parameters set to such as aio_max_ops, > aio_async_ports, aio_physmem_pct and the ifmx_hpkaio_num_req > environment parameter?
