error message

Hi i want to past an english text into an informix database. But then appears the following error: Exception from Informix: X42000:-201:Syntax error or access violation Whats wrong ??? Thanks for the help! Joern

Just what it says. The code -201 is an SQL Syntax error. Post the INSERT or UPDATE statement you are using and someone will help, likely something is out of place or the text includes an embedded quote or some such thing. Art S.
