You need ODBC. I don't know how VBSQL.VBX works. Does it give you some special connectivity options or do you use RDO or ODBCDirect? If you use RDO or ODBCDirect you souldn't have to recode anything but the connect string and of course any special passthrough sql you have created to execute non standard SQL. If you have used stored procedures they will also have to be recoded or replaced by VB code. If you use DAO without ODBCDirect you should recode to one of the newer methods. The speed gain will be significant. The newest seems to be ADO, but i believe there is still only a beta available from Microsoft on that. As to ODBC drivers you should definetly *not* use I-Connect (with Informix CLI) but a server based driver such as the one from OpenLink (http://www.openlinksw.com). You will save yourself from a lot of grief and hard work and gain many features and speed.
