For example ours says: ln -s $INFORMIXDIR/lib/iasf* /usr/lib ln -s $INFORMIXDIR/lib/ismd* /usr/lib The release note states these are needed if INFORMIXDIR is on another computer (ie NFS mounted), but things would not run unless linked. The install program supplied from informix normally links these for you.
