Applet using the Informix JDBC-driver

Hi, I have a little problem using the Informix JDBC driver (type 4) together with an applet. Simply the applet won't start. Error message delivered by the browser is: Applet MainModel can't start: ERROR When disable the driver and everything, which uses it in the code, the applet starts. So, what happens? Is the problem the driver or the browser (I am using the Netscape 4). Do I have to configure the browsers in a special way? When I start the applet with the appletviewer, all works fine. I have to mention, that the database (Inf. Dynamic Server 7.2) is on the same machine (UNIX/Solaris). Using another appletviewer on a different machine (NT4) with the same database as above (UNIX/Solaris) gives me the following error message: SQLException in openDB(): Attempt to connect to database server (%s) failed. Error Code: -908 java.lang.NullPointerException at Database.readEntitiesSeminarFromDB(Compiled Code) at Database.get(Database.java:27) at MainModel.init(MainModel.java:142) at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Compiled Code) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:479) Needless to say, that the applet don't start within the browser (here it is the IE4). But when I start the applet in the application version it works normal on the second machine (NT4). So, what to hell is it?
