}I am testing Informix Workgroup server 7.20UC2 on sco unix 3.2v5.0. When
}I use on onspaces to create a new chunk I am getting a file permission
}error.
}onspaces -c -d dbs1 -p /j/DATA1 -o 0 -s 500000
}
}Receive error:
}The chunk '/j/DATA1' must have owner-ID and group-ID set to informix.
}
}The permission of /j/DATA1 is:
}-rw-rw---- 1 informix informix 0 <date> DATA1
I got that problem recently when I was using software which hadn't been
installed correctly (so that the root/informix group privileges were
screwed up on the executables). My trouble was with onmonitor, but I tried
running it as both root and informix. It took me a while to work it out as
I was using what I thought was a working installation!
