Thanks for the sarcasm, it did not help. Let me rephrase my question. How does one export a 32gig database on to a DLT drive that has a capacity of 20 gigs. All my previous efforts ended up in asking for a tape when 2 gigs of data was written to the tape. I tried adding a zero to the command as some of you asked me to do, when I did that it complained that "Block size must be less than or equal to tape size". I want to know is there an OS limitation (HP-UX 10.20) or an Informix limitation that it will not write over 2 gig of data.
