Does anyone know how to effect the timeout of a process waiting to receive a row that is locked by a different process? (i.e. on our Unix based apps the wait is infinite, but on VB apps we seem to be experiencing a timeout and a returned ADO error) Thanks in advance
Looks like Informix OLEDB believes in waiting for locks in transactions (and you can set the timeout) and does not believe in it in auto-commit mode. Can you try to use transaction?
