Hallo, I use JDBC-Driver and Informixdatabase in a Project and have some problems with locking. When I set the lock mode to wait ("set lock mode to wait"), how long is this lock mode set? Is it only for the next statement, or for a hole transaction or for the hole connection to the database? Thank you Harald

Normally, until you next change it explicitly, or the whole connection to the database if you don't change your mind. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
But you can 'set lock mode to wait n' where n is the wait time is seconds Harald Ruf wrote: > Hallo, > > I use JDBC-Driver and Informixdatabase in a Project and have some > problems with locking. > When I set the lock mode to wait ("set lock mode to wait"), how long is > this lock mode set?
