I am getting a 25590 Authentication error when I try to connect with i-connect. I am not using CSM and I know my password is correct. Also, I get it when I try to connect to my Unix and NT machines. Does anyone have any ideas? It works fine on some pc's but not others. Harry Johnson Keene Information Systems Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

My first guess is that the setnet32 is set right on some machines but not others. Make sure that the services entry is the same on the machines that can't connect as it is to the others..I've also had problems with certain Service Packs of Microsoft that seem to defy you to use the service name instead of the port number ...When dealing with PC's I always use the port #(probably 1525) now, instead of the sqlexec(or whatever you chose to name the service). Hope it helped........... -brian

I even get this when I try to connect to our Unix boxes. Harry, Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
