IDS 12.10 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Server

Hi, I'm installing Informix DS Innovator-C Edition on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Server. After the installation I get a message some warnings/errors happened during install (logfile). However the server is working fine. - Are there any specific settings I need? - Do I need to add/change kernel parameter values? Thanks. Guy
What errors are you getting? Sometimes the sysmaster or sysadmin database do not get created correctly during a server initialization. That may be the errors you saw and the server doesn't need these setup, but they will help you as a user and DBA. There are procedures to correct those problems if they happen. Art Art S. OK, the only outright errors I see are when the logical logs fill the
ALARMPROGRAM is being executed to back them up, but there was some
problem. Most likely the default in the default ALARMPROGRAM is to use
onbar to back up the logical logs and you probably did not configure any
storage manager parameters so that is failing. Not a real issue, except
that if you don't back up the logical logs manually instead (ontape -a or
the equivalent onbar command once a storage manager is configured) the
server will block updates to disk when all of the logs are filled.
There are warning about the logical logs being too small, but that's a
small thing.
