That too.

That explains it then. I can read, (sort of) but I've never found any
doc on ACE. I even called Informix and they told me they didn't print
it anymore...

Before you buy.

There's never been a whole manual dedicated to ACE; you can still buy the 7.30 ISQL manual which covers ACE and Perform and User Menus and so on. What's worse, depending on who you ask, people might or might not be aware that (a) ISQL is still a product and (b) that ACE is a part of ISQL. So people might assume that since they've never heard of the product, and you admit it is old when they ask about it, it must not be available any more. As has been pointed out, the answers to the original question are: 1. You can use multiple select statements separated by semicolons in the SELECT section of an ACE report (and not in the FORMAT section of an ACE report -- if you think otherwise, you are confusing I4GL reports with ACE reports). 2. Because you can only use a SELECT statement in the SELECT section, the issue of the notation for LET x = SELECT ... is moot. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"
