Re: Performance on 7.30

Hi,
the query plan on both machines is identical. In both cases
the optimizer starts with a ( builds the hash table on a ) and scans
c afterwards.
How about the temporary dbspaces ? Do they reside on a different
disk on both machines ?
Although I think it will not make a difference, try to set
the environment variable LIGHT_SCANS=FORCE before you start
dbaccess on the HP.
If this will not help anyway, set the configuration parameter
WSTATS=1 and find the different wait times on both machines.
Try to keep your session alive when the SELECT-statement has
finished (i.e. dbaccess ). Otherwise the statistics will be lost.
dbaccess sysmaster - <<eof
select reason, cumtime from sysseswts where reason != "condition"
and sid = YOURSESSIONID;eof
This will lead you to the problem.
