Re: Report Format

Alan is quite right but you might now want to go to all the trouble of groups. Try this : p_current_row is the row being sent to the report. p_prv_row is a local report variable. on every row if p_prv_row is null or p_prv_row != p_current_row then let p_prv_row = p_current_row print p_prv_row; end if print p_other_elements_of_report Good luck Neil - @storm@aztec.co.za < ANOTHER ESSEX LAD > Alan Popiel (alan@po.den.mmc.com) wrote: : > From: carolr@sparky.nimh.nih.gov : > Subject: Report Format : > Date: Wed, 8 Feb 1995 14:04:49 GMT : > Reply-To: carolr@sparky.nimh.nih.gov : > Organization: National Institutes of Health : > : > I am a novice in terms of using informix. Normally you would print the person number, name, etc. in the BEFORE : GROUP section, print the variable info in ON EVERY ROW, and print totals, : etc. in the AFTER GROUP section. : Regards, : Alan : +---------------------------+-----------------------------------------------+ : | R.
