RE: "security subsysem" on NT with the AT program
Posted in 2000
Instead of letting at jobs run with SYSTEM account privileges, configure it
to run using Administrative privileges. This is so long as you don't have
any other at jobs that you'd prefer not run with Administrative privileges.
To make the change:
- Go to Control Panel -> Services
- Highlight the Scheduler service.
- Click on Properties.
- There is a field in the bottom half of the window that
pops up which allows your to specify that the service
runs using the local SYSTEM account or some other
configurable domain user. Choose the latter option
and specify a username with Administrative privileges.
- Click OK to accept.
- Stop and then restart the Scheduler service for your
change to take effect.
I'm not at an NT system now, so I can't be more clear than this. Hope it
helps.

Subject: "security subsysem" on NT with the AT program
Hello everybody,
I have the following probleme with Informix 7.31.TC2, running on NT 4.0 SP5:
I am logged Adminisrator
When I lauch via an AT task a script with the informix environment (the
content of setenv.cmd), all informix command (dbaccess, onstat, dbexport)
return this error:
"Could not initialize the security subsystem. Please ensure that this
account has the necessary privileges"
My Informix and Administrator accounts have their Setnet32 params setted
correctly. (Ilogin32 logs fine)
However, during the execution of the script via AT, the variable USERNAME =
SYSTEM.
How setting the correct INFORMIX security environment for the user SYSTEM ?
Any idea ?
Thank you for your answer
