NewEra - win32 API "CreateWindow"
Posted in 1997
Hi all - Im still trying to create Vert. & Horiz. scrollbars in my applications. Since NewEra seems unable to perform these tasks, Im attempting to take use of the Win32 API function "CreateWindow" along with the existing class SCROLLBAR. Ive never done this before, so any help here would be appreciated. Here's what I wrote: FUNCTION ixWindow::createVertScollBar() RETURNING VOID VARIABLE win ixWindow = getWindow(), hWnd SMALLINT, hBtn SMALLINT BEGIN_C hWnd = __getHWndFromixWindow(win); hBtn = CreateWindow( "SCROLLBAR", "", WS_CHILD | WS_VISIBLE | SBS_VERT | SBS_RIGHTALIGN, 0,0,0,0, hWnd, NULL, NULL, NULL); END_C END FUNCTION Here are the errors I got: error C2065: 'hWnd' : undeclared identifier error C2065: '__getHWndFromixWindow' : undeclared identifier error C2065: 'hBtn' : undeclared identifier I think that _getHWndFromixWindow() is no longer valid, so question #1 is what was used to replace it, question #2 is how do I define hBtn & hWnd, and question #3 is do I need to pass hInst (2nd to last parameter currently passing NULL) and if so, what do I do? Thanx in advance for any help you can give!
