I'm not familiar with Informix on Solaris, but I do know that on our
platform, and possibly all, you must be sure that you have an Informix
instance already configured with the same chunks, dbspaces, etc on your
other machine before you can do the restore. In other words, you have
to have initialized shared memory to look exactly like the other system
before you try to do the restore.
If you don't want them to be the same, then you need to unload the
original database (onunload) and then load it to the second machine.
Other Informix experts can correct me if I'm wrong.
