If you roll your own, any, else look at the Web datablade product with IFMX 9.x or the IFX.2000 product. Again, IMO, for most web apps, the datablade product is probably overkill. I would stick to 7.x or the IFX.2000 product (I hear there is a free upgrade to 2000 if you are already a 7.x user, but I dont know for sure). >>What Os platform would be the best for this server ? Most definitely any flavor of Unix. I prefer Sun myself, but YMMV. >>and has the sp's structure and functionality changed alot in the last 5 years ? Not much with the 7.x product, apart from some new built-in functions. With IFX.2000, you can write your SP's in Java as well as SPL. >>can you program cursors into the sp's and triggers? With SPs yes, with FOREACH. With triggers, not AFAIK.
