Data Replication
Posted in 2000
A poster asked how to set up data replication between IDS 7.3 on AIX 4.0 and IDS 7.3 on Windows NT, plus any known gotchas. Replies clarified that HDR (high-availability data replication) is not supported across AIX and NT, so Enterprise Replication (ER) is the option, pointing to the "Guide to Informix Enterprise Replication" manual. When the poster said the manual wasn't enough in practice, others simply recommended calling Informix Tech Support, who will supply step-by-step setup help. No detailed technical procedure or configuration answer is given in the thread.

Ditto. . . . 15 years experience with SE, On-line, and IDS and after reading the manuals, I called Informix's tech support. They walked me through the initial setup and answered a whole bunch of questions. If you don't have a support contract, pay the one time charge. It's worth the $$ MoJo Risin -- In article <877r11$9tc$1@nnrp1.deja.com>, j_aquino@my-deja.com wrote: > Call Tech Support, they will send step by step to setup ER and/or HDR > and they call also help you step by step. > > In article <86qdal$s7g$1@nnrp1.deja.com>, > dg_joshi@my-deja.com wrote: > > > > > > I want to start Data Replication between Informix IDS 7.3 on AIX 4.0 > > and Informix IDS 7.3 on Windows NT 4.0.
