Thing is, there is only a setup.class file on the disk and I ftp'ed it to the server ( yes, using binary mode) and ran the "java setup" command. Soooooo .... any more help out there!!!!!! ;). -----Original Message----- From: Obnoxio The Clown [mailto:obnoxio@hotmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, April 12, 2000 12:38 PM To: WMartin@kmart.com; informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: Installing JDBC drivers on HP UX From: "Martin, Wayne E." <WMartin@kmart.com> > >Question to one and all, > >I am getting a "unable to extract this archive" error message on HP-UX 11 >server when trying to install the JDBC drivers. > >Anyone seen this before??? Yep. Plenty of times. Oh! You want to know what it is? Usually the installation media is corrupted. It *is* made in Ireland, after all! :0) Another dumb thought (and no offense intended): sure you're using the right commands? Informix isn't exactly consistent in their use of tar or cpio. Or RPM. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
I ran into a similar problem, under HP10.20 though. "java -version" returned me "HP-UX Java B.01.13.04". jdbc version 1.5 should have been compatible, but version 2.11 installed successfully using the -noverify flag. Try "java -noverify setup" All the best.
