After installing IIF2000's (Development Version) I don't see an esql file in bin! Could it be that because this is the Development Version (and not the Run Time) version that Informix has on purpose left it out? Also, ICONNECT.RPM install fails (and RPM complains of there being no libifgls.so, libifglx.so), and also does the install of JDBC fail. Is this normal? I would also sure like to share solutions, problems, experiences with anyone developing web applications with IIF2000 on Red Hat Linux? TIA, Moses
I've just installed 2000 on redh 6.1 database is running fine... use the --nodeps switch onr the rpm for JDBC.. the iconnect won't install because it will complain of conflicts with the 2000package... must have been included... i am however unable to connect from the outside world.. with inet..on a pc.. i'm using the same setup as on rh6.0 with 7.3 ifmx.. everything connects fine there but not with 2000.. hope i've helped a little... thanks ed croxford edc@wrld.com "Moses Elias" <iom@netvision.net.il> wrote in message news:38BFF4BF.6278BD72@netvision.net.il... > > After installing IIF2000's (Development Version) I don't see an esql > file in bin! > > Could it be that because this is the Development Version (and not the > Run Time) version that Informix has on purpose left it out? > > Also, ICONNECT.RPM install fails (and RPM complains of there being no > libifgls.so, libifglx.so), and also does the install of JDBC fail. > > Is this normal? > > I would also sure like to share solutions, problems, experiences with > anyone developing web applications with IIF2000 on Red Hat Linux? > > TIA, > Moses > > > > > >
