Informix 4GL -> MS SQL Server

I have been involved with maintenance and coding in Informix 4GL from early 90's and have to now retool myself with MS SQL Server RDBMS product. Just wanted some feedback on the differences between 4GL and MS Sqlserver development suite . Are there radical differences or do most of the underlying language element remain the same like cursors etc.Any major diffrences that is. I think in there eternal whisdom they have it for download only from customer section, but ask there sales guys. IT is still not clear if Informix will offer this product as a part of D4GL.
