Right. That was the point. Not that nobody else was trying to do that, or even whether it was or wan't a design flaw, just the conclusion you came to before having all the info. I was reminded of the time a customer ripped me apart (I'm sew sew now) for our 'broken software' because everyone of the month end reports his business depended on failed to run. A little investigation showed that he had taken it upon himself to severely curtail the ulimit so his employees wouldn't make or download huge files on his hard drives. carlos
