Re: PVCS and Informix?

Hi Tim, I've spoken again with our cm team and receive more info that I didn't provide in our previous correspondence. PVCS Series for Configuration Managements consists of (at least) three separate components: 1) Version manager - used for source code control 2) Configuration builder - used to build application software 3) Trakker - used to store change requests, etc The third component, Trakker, uses a relational database to store change requests, time records, user configurations, queries, and reports. The product documentation states the four compatible databases are: Oracle 7, SQLServer, Sybase 10, dBase 5. The Intersolv rep stated that Informix had not provided an interface for their Trakker product. I kinda find that hard to believe since Informix is just as much leading edge as Oracle or Sybase.
