Which shell is run

Hi All I have some strange problem, which affected our client work. When I login to a Server I can see all Environmental variables. When I login to a Server from client (VB) using ODBC I get different Shell and different env. variable.I used same username and password. We run Stored Procedure from our client, which run executable on server. Somebody can tell wich file is executed , when I connect using ODBC, and how I can configurate it. I am a solaris programmer , but our Unix administartors cannot solve this problem. Thanks a lot Igor
