Index usage won't show up in any system tables, however data in your system tables do influence the index usage (update stats). If you look at the query plan by turning explain on, you'll see if an index is being used or not. Also, another way of influencing an index usage is setting the config parameter OPTCOMPIND appropriately. Arun "Monika Rabold S.u.S.E. Hi, how can I find out if an index is used? Is there a count in sysindexes or some where else that is incremented when a certain index of a table is used in a query plan?
