Upgrade from Informix 7.14 to 7.3

We are now using 7.14 UD2 on HP-UX 10.20. This is a 24*7 production system.
Whole database is larger than 10GB. If we upgrade to 7.3, is it possible to
keep the data and upgrade DS itself? Cause I don't know how long will it
take to dbexport and dbimport the whole database, we can not afford very
long down time. Anyone has the experience or suggestion ?
Thanks in advance,

No.
You can not upgrade from 7.14 directly to 7.30 while keeping your data.
Please check the first chapter of the Informix Migration Guide.
If I remember correctly you can go from 7.11 -> 7.30 or 7.2x -> 7.30.
However, you cannot go from 7.13 / 7.14 directly to 7.30 with out regressing
your system or upgrading to 7.20 on the way.
The only alternative to the above approaches is to dbexport.
Please read the migration guide carefully as if you try this it will not
work.
