Kernel IO Acess (KAIO)

My Online is runing under Sun Solaris 5, and I would like to activate Kernel IO access. The release notes on my version say that KAIO are supported. Does anybody know the procedure, how to active KAIO ? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
As I recall, and as Paul Watson said, it's activated by default on Solaris, although Paul might have added that this is of course only the case if you're using raw disk. bruno.eckle@lfr.liebherr.com wrote in message <902jrd$hkm$1@nnrp1.deja.com>... >My Online is runing under Sun Solaris 5, and I would like to activate >Kernel IO access. > >The release notes on my version say that KAIO are supported. > >Does anybody know the procedure, how to active KAIO ? > > >Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ >Before you buy.

Hi bruno.
Sorry my poor English.(I am Japanese.)
please try following command.
onstat -g ath
and grep kaio
My environment is not running KAIO.
Because My Online do not use raw device.
e.g)
ifmx28% onstat -g ath

Before you buy.
Thanks everybody,
My Online has been installed under File System (instead of raw).
I will correct that and see if I can activate KAIO.
Bruno.
