Unixware 7.1 and IDS 7.2.3 with ESQL/Cobol and Merant Object Cobol Devel. Suite 4.1 on Intel-Platform

Hi! They told me: this combination of products works fine. Is that true? Any personal experience? A detail: is an alternative to ESQL/Cobol (in this environment) available to get closer to DB2? Thanks for your help. Hans

Heu... UnixWare 7.1 and Informix 7.30 min please ( I have 2 servers in this case - Informix 7.30 UC11 exactly) Stable - No pb until now except with DLT tapes (archives ontape Level 0 only can be restaured). Configs : with Tuxedo 6.4(unix), Onipcshm connexion and with Imprise java (NT application server) connected with onTlitcp connexion and 8 instances in SE. 7.23 is (I think) the last version for Unisys system5 Unix. Warning - KAIOFF=1 to avoid some synchro problems. I do not know if Informix will maintain this version for a long time (think to the V9).
