Virtual Shared Memory increases with Online/Optical

We are using ODS 7.20.UC2, Online/Optical with Plexus XDP StorageManager 2.2. on Sun Solaris 2.5. We have written a small process which stores some TIFF-Images as Blobs on Optical Disks. Each time the process is being run the Informix Server takes a portion of the Virtual Shared Memory. But this memory seems to be never released (checked with onstat -g seg), so after some time the Informix Server has to allocate another segment of 8 MB to the Virtual Shared Memory. This behaviour goes on until no more memory is available ... The problem doesn't seem to appear when we don't use the Optical Disks but Magnetic Disks. Has anybody an idea what goes wrong or a suggestion how to get further information ?
