More questions about backups and restores

Hi All,
I've made it to the point where I can successfully do a back up of my
production system, copy all the files to the backup machine and then perform a
load to the backup machine. I use ISM as storage manager. Here is my question.
On the backup system and I do a physical restore first, onbar -r -p, then I do
a logical restore onbar -r -l -C. When the logical restore completes I want
the ability to load new logical files from the production server to keep them
in sync. But the version of the ixbar file I have on the backup machine
doesn't reference any of the new log files from production.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to continuously load logical logs from a
primary to a back up in the manner I am describing?
To do what you wanted is possible, but probably not the most effi=
cient way.
You will have to set RESTARTABLE_RESTORE in the onconf= ig file. You
MUST keep
the backup machine in recovery mode = and no user can connect to it.
The easier solution= is to use HDR in async mode, as this will
automatically move the logs to t= he secondary. In addition you can
let people use the secondary if you= want (given the proper
licensing).
