Online 7.13 UC1 on HP-UX 10.10 -Reply

We were on HP-UX 10.01 and OnLineDS 7.13.UC1 (E55 and H70) and had, under certain conditions, assert failures, and segmentation violations. Never could resolve this with HP or Informix. We upgraded to HP-UX 10.20. Problems persisted. Upgraded engine to 7.20.UC3. No more problems, stable for over two weeks now (a new record! ;-) ). Stored procedures execute well. One caveat, if you use onarchive to automate your backups. It appears that the cataloger (oncatlgr) no longer starts automatically, and the onautovop, when invoked with the cataloger dead, will incessantly fill log files, faster than they can back up to tape, resulting in, well, we know what the result is. The solution? Test for the oncatlgr process (ps -ef etc.), and if not running, start it. I am pleased with the upgrades.
