Problem with "cdr modify repl"

Hi. Informix Ultimate 11.70.UC5X4 OS: Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1 We want to change the modifications of a replicate with the following Syntax: "cdr modify repl -Ctimestamp -Ry -Srow replname" Here we get an error message: command failed -- fatal server error (100) Output in the online.log: CDR GC: operation grouper modify replicate failed (error 100). We`ve got this error message, too, if we try other parameters for this "cdr modify repl"-Command. In the past, for example under IDS7.31 we could change the modifications of a replicate without any problems with this syntax. Has anyone experiences with this problem? How could we modify the scope or make a change from ats to ris if this repl is in an operative state? Thanks for any suggestions. Sascha

Sascha Response: Well, I just did a similar test using 11.70.FC5 on linux and I was able to do a cdr modify repl with the -C -R -S options and it worked fine. If you can duplicate this 100 error with a different test table but same original define repl command, contact tech support to submit a defect with a test case. Otherwise I'd ask, can you do any of the cdr modify repl commands on this replicate (so just try to change 1 thing at a time rather then 3 etc) and get any of them to work (so is there just 1 of the options that is causing the error 100 to get thrown)? Hi! Thanks for your response. We`ve migrated from 7.31 to 11.70 a few weeks ago. Maybe the syscdr-conversion has changed some contents from system-tables. When i delete the replicate and define them new, than the "cdr modify repl" is working fine. Though we must recreate our replicate`s, if we want to modify. Has somebody made this experiences, too, after migration? Sascha >>> "JACQUES RENAUT" <jrenaut@us.ibm.com> 08.02.2013 22:55 >>> original post: Hi. OH, I would not expect ER/CDR definitions in syscdr to survive an upgrade of that breadth intact. I would expect to have to drop all ER prior to the upgrade and reestablish server and replicate relationships from scratch after the upgrade! Art Art S. Original post: Hi! Thanks for your response. We`ve migrated from 7.31 to 11.70 a few weeks ago. Maybe the syscdr-conversion has changed some contents from system-tables. Has somebody made this experiences, too, after migration? Sascha Response: The migration guide doesn't mention having to rebuild everything, so I set up a test system and migrated it from 7.31 to 11.70. So after doing that, following the migration guides steps, I've been able to reproduce the error 100's trying to modify a replicate that was originally defined under 7.31. It seems like this could be a defect (but I'm not sure if it's a conversion problem, or just a logic issue in the 11.70 cdr modify repl code). I'll look into it further.
