Carlton/Cathy/Walt: I want to thank all of you for your contributions to the content of the newsletter. I am sorry that we did not have enough time to work more on the Open Letter, Walt. I had to push my people pretty hard to get it designed and into production. We just simply ran out of time. I had to work with my designer until midnight last night to push it into production and my pressman must come in on Sunday to bind the newsletter. We spent the week finishing the printing of ISJ which is a very big job on top of designing an anthology for publication, so I had my people going flat out. I want to thank Cathy & Carlton for the quality of the material they delivered to me. The User Group Survey was extraordinary well organized and complete, Cathy. It was very easy to edit and drop in because of the parallel structure of all the entries. We were only able to fit the contacts, address, phones, faxes, and email into the 3 pages we had available for the information. We laid it out over a half-tone, gazeteer map of the world; it looks very professional set. Carlton: your Internet material also worked well as an insert onto the inside back and outside back cover. I broke it into an article on Informix-related Net services & a directory of Informix Net Resources. The book has very nice color bleeds of blue with half-tone images behind the text. The typography is very sophisticated. I am hoping the piece will help create the impression of substantiality-- that the group is well-organized and professionally administered so that people will have confidence in us. I will see you in San Jose. Tom
