Problem creating indicies (7.20.UC2 Solaris 2.5)
Posted in 1996
Hi,
I have a process that drops a table, recreates the table, and
loads about ~80k rows back in. As the final step it recreates the
indicies for the table.
What I am finding is that I can't create the indicies too
quickly. By that I mean that if I do two or more "create index"
commands on the same table the second one fails with:
242: Could not open database table (user.table_name).
113: ISAM error: the file is locked.
I have run every oncheck option there is and it found no
problems. If I wait about 30 seconds or so the next create index will
work just fine. On tables that have very few rows this isn't a problem.
This is a dual processor SS20 running Solaris 2.5 generic,
7.20.UC2 Online, replicating to another system. No one else is in the
dataserver when this occurs.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
