Re: Anyone using ISPY?
Posted in 2000
I have written a tool before ISPY was on the market, to log all SQL statements. These logs are then later analyzed to help me to create indexes where needed, move SQL joins to different disks, etc. The code is in C and very preliminary. I you know C, and interested, I can mail you the code to customize for yourself. The basic a action is simple. Create a listener {open a socket and listen, like telnetd deamon}, accept and then connect to the Informix listener. Pass all the data between connections but log successful SQL statements. I am sure you can easy mod it to log timings, etc. When I have time, I will clean the code and post it to IIUG. Let me know. -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Hunt [SMTP:khhunt@triplecrownsvc.com] Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2000 8:55 PM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Re: Anyone using ISPY?
