(why this 1048576) or say me where can I > find documentation about this The partnum is the logical page number of the table's TABLESPACE TABLESPACE entry, in other words the table's internal header record. The high order 12 bits (3 nibbles or hex digits) represent the dbspace number for a logical page number. The remainder of the address is the page number. Dividing by 1048576, or 0x100000, shifts off the page number leaving just the dbspace number behind. Art S. Kagel
