Hi, there doesn't seem to be an e-mail address. But the bespoke web-page at http://www.ibm.com/software/data/informix/ids/support/ has a link for feedback: look for "Feedback" in the left navigation area on the page ... Yes, fill in an IBM website feedback form. Someone will IBM will call you back within the hour. NOT!!!!!!! Filling out one of these forms on IBM's website is an alternative way of getting in touch with the dead, and saves the expense of a Ouija board.
I've emailed docinf@us.ibm.com on 3 things in the last 24 hours and got replies that they have been fixed. (It's past 3am since I crashed out earlier as I am not well so I'll check the fixes later.) One thing I wish IBM would do is check for broken links. Even if just periodically spidering their website slowly (slowly for their website is probably fast for others!) IN A CONTROLLED MANNER (Don't do this for them!). To allow for website updates the spider could first log the source page for 'potential' broken links and have a process that comes back say 2 hours later and rechecks the page to see if it is still broken. Broken link checking can be automatic and considering that I found several in a few hours without trying "ON AN IBM SITE" (I though they were a big professional outfit with a major reputation to protect) this is not good!. Not that the website guys don't do a good job with apparently limited(?) resourcesbut THIS IS THE PUBLIC FACE OF IBM AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH. Run your critical Infastructure on IBM..our website has broken links... hmmmm. Honestly I'm not trying to be too harsh but this is mixed messages to the customer again. Oh God I've just given Oracle and MS more ammo in public...
I like it when their 'OnDemand' site is down The easiest way to navigate the IBM site is to call Pisspoor Disadvantage and ask for the URL you want, saves hours of looking Cheers Paul david@smooth1.co.uk wrote: > > I've emailed docinf@us.ibm.com on 3 things in the last 24 hours and got > replies > that they have been fixed.
