No David, IIRC the tech support number was different (it's been a few years since I called but I think it was 1212). 0208 818 1000 was the switchboard. Not sure who we buy from Neil, I think Open PSL. I get the feeling we're moving off Informix though, dammit. I did hear from a US contact that IBM were making Express FOC, to compete with Oracle 10G Express, which I understand is becoming FOC, and SQL Server Express which is. I was also advised by IBM some months ago to call back around now as 'something is happenning soon' re IDS Express. However, it looks like I was misinformed. Christine Normile assures me there are no such plans. However, the point of my post was about the frustration of obtaining Informix info, when dialling a number that should tell IBM the call is about Informix products/services. Christine again assures me (us) she will look into this. Farewell, Peter A smile is a gift that is free to the giver and precious to the recipient. But giving someone the finger is free too, and I find it more personal and sincere. sending to informix-list
OK, people, please tell me what "FOC" means, so I can understand what you're talking about :) Thanks!
