Yes it's a Bug !!! I came across this bug on ICL DRS6000 ONLINE 5.0.uc2 (I think) Informix Online gets confused over temporary table space allocations and thus ends up dropping the wrong tblspaces, either resulting in and Informix Sys table being dropped or holes being left in other tables. Get an Upgrade Now !!! I also suggest you check for any other damage using tbcheck also check your Informix Online Log as well. I have a copy of the bug Notice from Informix somewhere if I locate it I'll send you further details.
