Delete vs Drop & Create

Hi: I have to delete rows of a table very quickly, so Is there a way to improve performance to the Delete statement? Or is most quickly drop the table and recreate (There is no problem if I can do that) Thanks _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? You can drop and recreate the table, but make sure you get all the dependencies before you drop the table, or you can lose them. You can look in the system catalog table sysdepends to find any dependencies on at table. If you have lazy developers that use views created on views you will also have to look for dependencies bases on the dependencies. Sorry if that sounds a little complicated but it can cause problems if you are not aware of it. Also remember to get all your permission grants on the table before you drop it (that is if you are using table level security).
