Hi,
in order to be in a transaction you have to issue SQL statement
"BEGIN WORK;", which is probably missing in your scenario.
The exception are ANSI databases (ANSI logging mode).
With these databases you are always automatically in a
transaction (even without "BEGIN WORK;").
If your application expects this, then you probably have to
change your database to ANSI logging mode (use "ontape"
or "ondblog" utility to change the logging mode). Note: once
your database has logging mode ANSI it is not so easy to
switch (back) to another logging mode.
