Initializing IDS in RedHat 6.2

Hi, I've downloaded Informix Dynamic Server V7.30.UC10-1 for Intel Linux 2.0.36 GLIBC2.0.7 from Infromix, installed it ( run installserver), configured it and I can't initialize it. Before this I had the previous version installed in RedHat 6.1 and it worked just fine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Manuel
You might have compatibility problem. IDS (7.3, 9.20) were certified for RH versions with glibc 2.1.1 (i.e. 6.0 and 6.1). RH 6.2 uses glibc 2.1.2. There's no compatibility problem... He just needs to run
"installserver" after installing the rpm, set up his onconfig
properly, and run "oninit -i". It's all documented.
If you're impatient, Art has a "howto" on the IIUG website (I haven't
actually looked at it, so I can't give you an URL).
