Hi! } } Dear All, } } I am having some problems understanding the way Informix's tool set } is structured, and how they will work together. In particular, I am } confused about Informix NewEra and 4GL++. } As far as I undestand, NewEra is a new name for 4GL++. 4GL++ is a development-time name and NewEra is a trademark. } My question is: } } 1) How does NewEra fit into the picture with 4GL++ ? } } ie: If I create a NewEra application on Windows, how would I make } this work using 4GL++ on a Unix host with a character-based } interface (or wouldn't I ?) 4GL++ (=NewEra) is a GUI-based tool. And (IMHO) NewEra/MS Windows is a port of NewEra/Motif (or visa versa). } 2) Is 4GL ++ still a going concern ? Does anyone know when it } is likely to be released ?
