Problems with sdsadmin partitioned disks

Does anyone have any experience using Informix on HP's with SDS partitioned drives. We are using an HP 755 with Seagate Elite 3's, each elite 3 has 7 partitions created via sdsadmin. Informix is using 6 350M partitions as raw devices. The last partition on each drive has a UNIX filesystem on it. We have been seeing file system corruption on both drives for the mounted filesystems, and now get a ISAM error: Blob stamp is incorrect on a newloy loaded table. The sds config file is: type elite3-2 label informix-2 partition 1 size 350M partition 2 size 350M partition 3 size 350M partition 4 size 350M partition 5 size 350M partition 6 size 350M partition 7 size max When SDS says the partitions are 350M are they really that big? In other words if we tell informix they are 350M are we asking for trouble? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
