Hello,
I have a problem with queries using all of the temp dbspace. We
just moved to IDS 7.31 FC4 from
IDS 7.30 UC3. The same queries run fine under the previous version of
Dynamic Server but now a single query uses all the temp dbspace and then
abends with -229. Ihave 2GB assign to temp dbspace which should be plenty.
Is there some parameters in the onconfig file I should be adjusting??
Thanks for any help
Here is my onconfig file:

Since I have made the same mistake also, might I point you to the
paragraph above the DBSPACETEMP parameter. Use a colon
to separate the dbspaces. Your query may be ignoring the parameter
and using /tmp or rootdbs.
That said, there are a number of conditions where DBSPACETEMP
is not used, but rather rootdbs. The most notable is the server's creation
of a temporary index on a temporary table (with no log) during a query.
I was told this was a feature and not a bug. Seems hokey to me.
